8 Brilliantly-Effective Ways To Deal With A Manipulative Sociopath

Sociopaths are lurking and waiting in the shadows. One blink of an eye and you’re on the way to become their victim.

A sociopath will make your life a living hell, without showing any feeling of empathy or remorse…if you let them.

Here are 8 tricks to help you get rid of this manipulative creature.

1. Say “NO”.

Often, we underestimate the power of a simple “No”. However, it’s an effective trick to help you confuse the sociopath and make them give up on their toxic game.

Therefore, whenever a sociopath wants to take the control over you, be terrifyingly strong and let them hear your “No”. Without explanations. Without justifying your reactions. Just slap “No” in their fake face, turn your back and leave.

2. Avoid communication with them.

Sociopaths collect information about their victims. They want to reveal your flaws, deepest secrets, and fears, so they can easily use them to manipulate you.

Therefore, avoid communication. When you must talk, make it as short as possible. In this way, you’ll leave the sociopath in despair, unable to reach their goal.

3. Make the conversation about them.

That’s right. Sociopaths love revealing things about other people, but they hate talking about themselves! Now, this is exactly what you need to do!

Whenever you feel the conversation revolves only around you, switch the topic and focus on them. Start asking questions and saying things like: “Tell me about yourself,” “Let’s talk about you,” “How do you feel about…?”

4. Never share personal things with a sociopath.

So, you’re extremely happy or you’re going through difficulties and don’t feel well? That’s none of their business! Never ever reveal your true emotions to a sociopath.

Talk about music, sports, news instead…everything but you. Don’t feed them with your emotions and never let them make a drama out of your life.

5. Politely decline their attempt to help you.

Do you really think someone who is a sociopath will help you? Sociopaths can’t help even themselves! Be always suspicious about their intentions.

So, next time they play their game of being kind and helpful, put a smile on your face and say: “No, thank you, I’m great.”

6. Criticize them with a dose of humor.

Since every manipulator appears to be charming, criticism is something that disturbs them. They tend to make others agree on everything they say or do.

What do sociopaths hate? -Losing control over you. You must give them that pleasure! Find a flaw about them and say it aloud laughing about it. Show them that they can’t play their game with you as you won’t be their pawn. If they’re dangerous, you can be as well.

7. Let them know you don’t believe them.

Sociopaths are outrageous gossipers and exclusive storytellers. They will do everything to provoke an emotional reaction and make you trust them.

Tell them you don’t believe their fake stories!

8. Never reveal your plans to a sociopath.

I am sure you know the saying that you must stay silent about your plans and dreams until you make them happen. Well, this goes especially when you deal with a sociopath!

Never reveal them your plans because a sociopath won’t let you distance from them and will do everything to change your mind.

Stay calm and strong! You can beat them in their own game.
